Country Rugs and Floral Rugs are rugs that have a casual and botanical feel. Country rugs can be a simple bouquet or specific flower such as a Magnolia Rug or a Calla Lilly or even repeating Roses. Floral rugs tend to have a garden trellis pattern or lots of flowers in the design of the rug, and work well with more simple patterns or plaid fabrics. Shabby Chic or Romantic rugs can have a cottage floral with pastel tones, and bring an eclectic feel to the space when used with multiple fabrics. Of of the more sophisticated floral designs has a French Provencal inspiration. These rugs can be called Aubusson or Savonnerie
designs, and are more formal. These designs are replicas of rugs originally commissioned by Louis XIV, but nowadays have a feminine connotation.
