Sisal Rugs & Seagrass Rugs

Sisal Rugs and Seagrass Rugs both fall into the category of natural fiber rugs.  These rugs are visually aesthetic because they create an organic simple look by adding color and texture, without too much pattern.  Sisal rugs are usually very coarse to the touch, however a synthetic sisal rug can provide the same look, yet with a softer feel and much better durability.  Pure sisal rugs tend to warp when they get wet, so they can be tough to clean.  Seagreaa rugs have a very unique look.  These rugs are khaki and green in color, usually have a twisted fiber made of actual seagrass, and are hard to replicate with a snythetic substitute.  Seagrass is coarse as well, yet has more os an oily feel to the touch.  Seagrass rugs do not have different colors, yet you can find different patterns to work with.  Sisal and Seagrass rugs are an excellent way to bring a solid color and minimal pattern into the room.
